Edgehill Homes Limited, the developer of the Gates of Edgehill community, is a Jamaican-based corporation whose stated mission is to provide high quality, affordable accommodation to the people of Jamaica while continuing to display the highest possible corporate and staff profile to assure excellent customer service with integrity, creativity and social responsibility.

In order to effectively achieve its stated mission, the principals of Edgehill Homes Limited have, over a number of years, undertaken extensive research of housing sectors and techniques across the Caribbean. In particular, it has found that housing for the middle income groups in Jamaica has been consistently undersupplied, and, too often, the housing available has been of low quality, in terms of design, location and quality. From extensive research and detailed analysis of the housing sector in Jamaica, Mr. Carl Bennett, the Chairman of Edgehill Homes Limited, recognized that in order to achieve efficiency, quality and structural integrity, the systems and methods employed in Jamaica required upgrading in a number of areas. By involving Canadian technical and professional personnel in its project planning, Edgehill Homes Limited has been able to establish building standards and systems in close accord with the Canadian model for the Jamaican environment, thereby making available to Jamaican families a better designed and higher quality housing solution than has previously been available.
